Are you looking for a solution to reduce the noise from a sewer pipe or rainwater drain? Good soundproofing of the pipe can provide a solution.
The sound occurs when falling water hits the inner wall of the pipe. This contact causes vibrations, also known as contact noise, which are audible in the surroundings.
For effective sound insulation, a so-called mass-spring-mass system is often used. In the case of a pipe, the casing forms the first mass. Around this, a elastic, absorbent material is applied (the spring), followed by a second mass, for example, a mass plate. This system dampens both impact and airborne noise, making the flowing water barely audible.
EASYmass pipe insulation is specially developed for piping insulation. This product combines a foam layer with a mass plate, thereby directly forming the mass-spring-mass system. The material is easy to cut to size with a utility knife and, thanks to the aluminium mesh core, easy to shape around pipes and bends. This makes installation quick and practical.
Secure the EASYmass pipe insulation with tyraps and finish the seams neatly with, for example, duct tape, so that the pipe is fully sealed.

Vibration isolation prevents noise nuisance from devices by capturing vibrations directly at the source. Suitable for use with, among others, heat pumps, floors, and machines.
A cavity is the hollow space between two parts of a construction, such as between two walls. This space often plays an important role in sound insulation and can be filled with suitable material, also known as cavity filling.
