EASYdemp Caraudio is specifically designed for the automotive industry and is already widely used in vehicles to reduce vibrations. Applying EASYdemp to metal plates dampens the vibration energy, resulting in a reduction of sound radiation. However, in many cases, it is not necessary to cover the entire surface; often, covering about 70% of the surface is sufficient for effective damping.

EASYdemp is available in the following types:

• EASYdemp Normal has a weight of 3.5 kg/m2 (thickness of 2 mm). Sold in sets of 10 plates (50 x 25 cm each = 1.25 m2 in total).
• EASYdemp Xtra has a weight of 7.5 kg/m2 (thickness of 4 mm). Sold in sets of 5 plates (50 x 25 cm each = 0.625 m2 in total).

No, full coverage is not always necessary. To effectively reduce resonances, it is generally sufficient to cover approximately 70% of the surface evenly.

If you want to achieve both de-dremeling and an additional insulating effect, 100% coverage is recommended. This ensures the entire surface has extra mass, which contributes to further reduction of sound transmission.

Due to additional mass being added to the existing sheet metal, these are less quickly brought into vibration. As a result, resonances are reduced and the noise comfort in the vehicle is improved.

Yes. Because the surrounding sheet metal resonates less, the overall sound is better brought out, even at low notes.

Note: hard and very low bass frequencies are often difficult to fully reduce. Additional measures are usually required in many cases.
