Specially designed for the automotive industry, EASYdemp sound deadening plates are intended to effectively dampen vibrations in sheet metal. Manufactured with high-quality materials such as bitumen, these plates offer impressive mass and excellent damping properties. They find their primary application in the car audio sector, where they are used to dampen and deaden doors and other sheet metal surfaces.

EASYdemp Caraudio is specifically designed for the automotive industry and is already widely used in vehicles to reduce vibrations. Applying EASYdemp to metal plates dampens the vibration energy, resulting in a reduction of sound radiation. However, in many cases, it is not necessary to cover the entire surface; often, covering about 60% of the surface is sufficient for effective damping.
Features
- Flame-retardant according to FMVSS 302, M2.
- Temperature resistance from -10 to +90 degrees Celsius.
- Resistant to water, oil, and diluted acids.
- Does not contain toxic or aggressive substances.
When to use what?
For thinner sheet materials such as those in car doors, we recommend covering at least 60% of the surface with EASYdemp Standard. For thicker sheet materials, such as the floor panel, bulkhead, or when used in speaker enclosures, you can also opt for EASYdemp Xtra for additional damping.
Processing
You can easily cut or trim EASYdemp to size.
Due to its flexibility, EASYdemp is well-suited for curved surfaces.
Ensure that the surface is dry, dust-free, and grease-free before applying EASYdemp.
When applying, it's important to avoid trapping air bubbles.
Avoid working with EASYdemp at temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.
To guarantee the performance of the adhesive layer, you should apply our self‑adhesive products within six months of purchase.
Type of stripping plate
EASYdemp is available in the following types:
- EASYdemp Normal has a weight of 3.5 kg/m2 (thickness of 2 mm). Sold in sets of 10 plates (50 x 25 cm each = 1.25 m2 in total).
- EASYdemp Xtra has a weight of 7.5 kg/m2 (thickness of 4 mm). Sold in sets of 5 plates (50 x 25 cm each = 0.625 m2 in total).
