How do you reduce the noise of a machine with a casing?

A quiet working environment is crucial for operational efficiency, concentration, and the health of employees. In industrial settings, machines often produce high noise levels. An acoustic enclosure provides an effective solution to limit this noise pollution.

    Reducing noise at the source

The most effective approach is to suppress noise as close to the source as possible. If technically feasible, the machine can be modified with sound-absorbing or vibration-dampening materials. These materials reduce internal reflections and damp air noise.

    Casting as a secondary measure

When internal modifications are not possible or result in insufficient outcomes, a sound-insulating enclosure provides a solution. It prevents airborne noise and vibrations from spreading further within the space. The enclosure acts as a barrier that absorbs and isolates sound waves.

    Material selection for machine enclosures

For effective cladding, acoustic sample sandwich panels are recommended. These panels consist of a sealed outer cladding and a perforated inner cladding. The cavity is filled with sound-absorbing material. Thanks to the precise interlocking connection between the panels, they are quick and easy to install.
