The material of the sound damping plate is flexible bitumen and is also known as damping or anti-vibration foil. The backside of the anti-vibration foil is equipped with a self-adhesive layer with a grey PE release liner, allowing it to be easily applied without glue.

The sound damping plate has a recognizable embossed structure and is provided with a transparent polyethylene film on the visible side to protect the plate. The color of the plate is anthracite/dark grey.

EASYdemp is a sound damping solution that absorbs vibrations in metal structures, reducing resonance, especially in materials such as steel or aluminum. It is also commonly used in wooden sandwich constructions to add extra mass, which benefits sound insulation.

By applying EASYdemp damping plates to a metal surface, vibration energy is dampened, reducing sound radiation. It is often not necessary to cover the entire surface; typically, covering about 60% of the surface is sufficient.

When the anti-vibration foil is applied, the contact sound and the sound of the sheet material become duller.

Common applications include damping pipe enclosures, ventilation ducts, panels, sinks, machine parts, facade cladding, and enclosures.

• EASYdemp is easy to cut or trim with a utility knife, allowing for customization to different shapes.
• Thanks to its flexibility, EASYdemp is well-suited for working with cylindrical forms.
• Ensure that the surface is dry, dust-free, and grease-free before applying EASYdemp. Press the material firmly or roll it to prevent air pockets.
• Avoid working with EASYdemp at temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius. It is recommended to acclimate the material in a room warmer than 15 degrees Celsius.
• EASYdemp has an initial adhesive strength and final adhesion that becomes active after approximately 6 hours. To guarantee the performance of the adhesive layer, you should apply our self‑adhesive products within six months of purchase.
• Do not hang EASYdemp damping plates horizontally (e.g., on the roof or ceiling), as this is not recommended.

Given the dimensions, EASYdemp damping plates are shipped on a pallet. If you require a smaller number of plates, we recommend the car audio damping plates. These are pre-cut and available in sets, which also results in lower shipping costs.
