EASYfoam FireSeal HR is a flexible open-cell polyurethane foam with a white glass fiber top layer. This top layer protects the material from splashing water and oil. Thanks to its high specific weight (90 kg/m3), this product not only has sound-absorbing properties but also sound-insulating characteristics. EASYfoam FireSeal HR is resistant to high air speeds (>50m/s) and is also insensitive to most bacteria and fungi. EASYfoam FireSeal HR is manufactured in Europe.

Product sheetApplications
EASYfoam FireSeal HR is particularly well-suited for:
- High-end industrial applications
- Machinery construction
- Yacht building
The excellent fire properties of EASYfoam FireSeal HR make it suitable for use in public spaces, a feature not commonly found in most polyester and polyether foams.
Self-adhesive
The adhesive layer can withstand temperatures of up to 100 degrees Celsius. It is not recommended to apply these products at temperatures below 15 degrees Celsius.
Air humidity
This product shows no deformation or aging under the influence of humidity.
Processing and customization
EASYfoam FireSeal HR can be easily cut using a utility knife, (electric) bread knife, or bandsaw. For optimal adhesion of the self-adhesive layer, it is important that the surface is clean, dry, dust- and grease-free. Ensure that the product is firmly and evenly pressed to prevent air pockets. If the surface is rough and/or uneven, it is recommended to pre-treat it unilaterally, for example, with MKD Extreme Tack contact adhesive, to ensure proper adhesion.
To guarantee the performance of the adhesive layer, you should apply our self‑adhesive products within six months of purchase.
Customization:
We offer the possibility to cut acoustic materials in-house into any desired shape or size. With customization, you get a solution that perfectly fits your application, resulting in faster installation and recouping of the additional costs. Feel free to contact us for more information about the options.

FAQ
In which environments does EASYfoam FireSeal HR offer clear advantages over other acoustic foams?
EASYfoam FireSeal HR is primarily used in industrial environments, shipbuilding, and professional shipping, where the foam must meet a combination of high requirements such as fire safety, splash oil and moisture resistance, and impact durability.
What does the HR classification mean on EASYfoam FireSeal HR?
The HR classification in EASYfoam FireSeal HR stands for High Resistance and indicates an enhanced version of EASYfoam FireSeal. The material is equipped with a reinforced fiberglass top layer, making it more resistant to mechanical stress, impacts, splashes of oil, and moisture.
Thereby, EASYfoam FireSeal HR is suitable for applications requiring extra robustness.
Is EASYfoam FireSeal HR suitable for environments with increased fire safety requirements?
Yes. EASYfoam FireSeal HR is a safer fire-resistant alternative compared to standard polyurethane foam. As a result, the material is suitable for applications and environments where increased fire safety requirements apply.
In which frequency ranges does EASYfoam FireSeal HR perform most effectively?
In the case of sound-absorbing materials, it generally applies that the thickness of the material influences their effectiveness. A greater thickness ensures that sound is better absorbed within the material, thereby increasing sound absorption and having an effect over a broader frequency range.
Also with EASYfoam FireSeal HR, the selected thickness largely determines the final acoustic performance. The exact absorption values per frequency and material thickness are included in the absorption graph under the heading "absorption value".
Is EASYfoam FireSeal HR suitable for applications with increased humidity?
Yes. EASYfoam FireSeal HR is suitable for indoor spaces with increased humidity, such as environments where steam and condensation may occur. The material can be used in such conditions and is easy to clean with a damp cloth.
For outdoor applications or prolonged exposure to moisture, we recommend EASYwhisper | Outdoor or EASYwhisper | Indoor, a solution specifically designed for these conditions.
In which situations is additional adhesive or pre-treatment necessary?
EASYfoam FireSeal HR features a strong self-adhesive layer. For optimal adhesion, the substrate should be clean and free of grease.
Additional glue or extra pre-treatment is not usually necessary under normal circumstances.
Does EASYfoam FireSeal HR withstand aging in industrial environments?
Yes. EASYfoam FireSeal HR is designed with long-term functionality in industrial environments. When applied and installed correctly, a lifespan of approximately 10 years is estimated.
