EASYfoam FireSeal complies with fire safety standard EN13501.

EASYfoam FireSeal is excellent for applications such as:

Unlike most polyester foams and polyether foams, EASYfoam FireSeal is suitable for use in public spaces due to its excellent fire properties (EN13501).

EASYfoam FireSeal can be easily cut with a utility knife, (electric) bread knife, or band saw. For optimal adhesion of the self-adhesive layer, the surface should be clean, dry, and free from dust and grease. Ensure that the product is firmly and evenly pressed to prevent air pockets. If the surface is rough and/or uneven, it is advisable to pre-treat it unilaterally, for example, with MKD Extreme Tack contact adhesive, to ensure proper adhesion.

To guarantee the performance of the adhesive layer, you should apply our self‑adhesive products within six months of purchase.

Although we conduct careful inspections, it is not always possible to completely prevent any visual discrepancies such as differences in color, streaks, or irregularities in cells. It is important to note that no rights can be derived from this.

FireSeal and foam rubber are both sound-absorbing materials, but they differ in composition and properties. FireSeal is a flexible, open-cell polyurethane foam with a high specific weight of 90 kg/m³, making it both sound-absorbing and sound-insulating. Additionally, it is fire-safe, antibacterial and mould-resistant.  

Bubble foam, on the other hand, is a lighter, open-cell polyurethane foam with a bubble structure, primarily aimed at sound absorption and less at insulation. 

FireSeal is ideal for applications where both sound absorption and sound insulation are required, such as in machine and equipment construction, enclosures, and areas with high air velocities. Due to its fire-resistant and antibacterial properties, it is also suitable for public spaces. 

Although FireSeal has excellent properties, it is not specifically designed for outdoor applications. For outdoor use, EASYwhisper is recommended, an acoustic absorbing material that is suitable for outdoor environments. 

Customisation is possible! It can be delivered tailored to meet specific dimensions and shapes, depending on the requirements of your project. 

FireSeal is easy to handle. EASYfoam FireSeal can be easily cut with a Stanley knife, (electric) bread knife, or band saw. Custom sizing is also possible. For a secure attachment, it is important that the substrate is clean, dry, and grease-free. FireSeal comes with a self-adhesive backing, which facilitates installation. Once the material is applied, it cannot be repositioned.
