The acoustic properties of EASYwhisper remain fully preserved after exposure to water and moisture. The material successfully passes the rigorous EN 12088 28‑day condensation moisture test. EASYwhisper retains 100% of its acoustic performance, without the need for a water barrier, protective film, or perforated metal facing.

EASYwhisper | Outdoor has been independently tested in accordance with EN 14388. These tests demonstrate that the material has a service life of more than 50 years in outdoor applications.

During the tests, the panels were exposed to UV radiation, heat, water, and de‑icing salt. Even when the material was fully covered with salt, EASYwhisper | Outdoor maintained an acoustic absorption level comparable to that of the original, unused material.

EASYwhisper | Outdoor is resistant to temperatures from –40 °C to +80 °C. In addition, the material meets several fire classifications, including EN 1794‑2 Class 1 and DIN 4102 Class B2.

EASYwhisper | Outdoor with a thickness of 50 mm has an αw‑value of 1. The absorption values per frequency range are shown in the graph below.

EASYwhisper can be quickly and easily cut to size using conventional tools such as a hand saw or a sharp knife.

After transport, EASYwhisper must be stored horizontally, indoors, and on a completely flat surface. The material must not be exposed to temperatures outside the range of –60 °C to +80 °C.

Although EASYwhisper is moisture‑resistant, it must not be fully submerged or saturated before installation.

For optimal processing, it is recommended to acclimatize the panels for 2 hours at a temperature of 15–30 °C, lying flat on the floor and free of packaging. This conditioning minimizes potential dimensional changes caused by thermal expansion.

For outdoor applications, EASYwhisper panels must always be installed vertically. This prevents water accumulation on the surface.

EASYwhisper can be mechanically fixed using an insulation sleeve or plug.
Bonding is possible with High Tack adhesive in combination with the EASYwhisper Flushmount Corkscrews. Since most adhesives do not adhere directly to EASYwhisper, the corkscrew provides the necessary bonding interface for a durable installation.

For ceiling applications, EASYwhisper can be used as an island or as a baffle, mounted using the EASYwhisper Hanging Corkscrews.

In outdoor applications, the panels can expand up to 3% at temperatures between –60 °C and +80 °C. Covering the top edge helps minimize visible dimensional changes.

Yes, that is possible. For enclosures where the interior is exposed to weather conditions, EASYwhisper Outdoor can be used effectively. By placing the material inside the enclosure, sound reflections within the enclosure are effectively reduced, resulting in a noticeable improvement in sound performance.

No, intensive maintenance is not necessary. However, it is important to regularly clean the surface of the material. This helps to preserve the quality and lifespan of the material.
