Product sheetApplications
The EASYmount floor support is ideal for constructing a sound-insulating floor. Combined with a cavity fill, edge strip, and a floor finish of your choice, you can easily build a floating floor that effectively reduces airborne and impact noise.
Processing
Place the EASYmount floor support on a solid and flat surface made of stony or woody material. Anchor the EASYmount floor supports to the substrate. This forms the basis for a well-functioning floating floor.
Divide the supports into a grid of 50 x 50 cm and secure wooden slats of 50 x 50 mm in the supports. Between the slats, install a sound-absorbing cavity filling, such as Cyclin Puur, EASYpol or Ecosorb, for extra sound insulation.
Finish the floor with a sealed top layer, for example two layers of OSB or waterproof chipboard, optionally reinforced with a EASYmass mass sheet. This creates a stable, sound-insulating floor construction with a durable floor structure.
Dimensions
The image below provides a clear overview of the dimensions of the EASYmount floor support.
Sound insulation value
The final sound insulation value of the floor is determined by the combination of the base floor and the construction of the floating structure.

FAQ
For which types of floor constructions is the EASYmount floor support designed?
The EASYmount floor support is suitable for various types of subfloors, such as concrete, wood, and cementitious screeds. The floor support provides an acoustic decoupling of the existing floor construction, after which a new floor construction is built up decoupled above the existing floor.
Can the EASYmount floor support be used in both renovation and new construction projects?
Yes. The EASYmount floor support is installed on the existing floor construction and provides an acoustic decoupling of the floor structure. As a result, the floor support is suitable for use in both renovation and new build projects.
How is stable support for the floor construction ensured?
The EASYmount floor support consists of acoustic components designed for use in floor constructions. This results in a stable support for the floor, while the construction remains acoustically decoupled at the same time.
For stable and even construction, it is important that the floor supports are placed in a grid of no more than 50 × 50 cm.
Can the EASYmount floor support be used when there is limited available installation height?
With a correct floor construction using the EASYmount floor support, consisting of the floor support, rachel work, and a double layer of decking, a minimum construction height of approximately 10 cm must be taken into account. This construction provides a stable and effectively acoustically decoupled floor structure.
When the available construction height is limited, in some situations, a floating screed solution with EASYbond vibration isolation combined with EASYmass mass panels can be chosen. The choice of the right solution depends on the available height and the desired acoustic performance.
What happens to the sound insulation if the floor supports are not evenly distributed?
An uneven distribution of the EASYmount floor supports affects the system's performance. The floor support has been designed to operate optimally within a certain load capacity. When the load is not evenly distributed across the supports, this can lead to reduced acoustic performance.
Therefore, it is important to place the floor supports evenly and according to the prescribed grid to maintain both sound insulation and the stability of the floor construction.
What should be considered when processing and installing the EASYmount floor support?
For proper functioning, it is important that the EASYmount floor supports are evenly distributed over the floor surface. Additionally, the supports must be securely mechanically attached to the subfloor to maintain both the stability of the floor structure and the acoustic performance.
